This is one of the things that confuses many people when they’re just getting started on their Website DIY journey.
WordPress.ORG and WordPress.COM are two different versions of WordPress. But which one is right for what you need?
.ORG is taking the content management system WordPress and putting it on your own hosting account that you likely pay for monthly or annually.
.COM is using WordPress on what might be considered their retail location. You can do this pretty simply BUT you’re tied to their hosting and as you build out the functionality of your website you may then run into more expenses in order to be able to do so… And depending on what you want to do with your website and business you may ultimately be forced to move your website to your own hosting space if you plan to sell something, build out a membership or launch courses all from your own website.
